Track, speed & elevation
Route position, distance, duration, speed, elevation, ascent, descent, and related summaries may differ from another phone, cycling computer, map, or official measurement.
VeloForth uses location and other information supplied by Android and your phone to record and calculate ride data. These readings are useful, but they cannot be guaranteed to be completely accurate, complete, or continuous.
Route position, distance, duration, speed, elevation, ascent, descent, and related summaries may differ from another phone, cycling computer, map, or official measurement.
Buildings, trees, terrain, weather, device placement, hardware, permissions, battery-saving settings, and interrupted location updates can affect the data available to VeloForth.
Use recorded data and private insights as helpful cycling context. Check important information independently and prioritise road conditions, signs, rules, and your own judgement.
This disclaimer applies to ride information recorded, displayed, or calculated by VeloForth for Android. It includes route tracks, timestamps, distance, duration, speed, elevation, ascent, descent, classifications, personal records, trends, goals, and private on-device insights that depend on recorded ride data.
VeloForth aims to present the information available to it carefully, but mobile-device data is inherently subject to uncertainty. No recorded or calculated value is warranted to be exact, complete, uninterrupted, or suitable for every purpose.
VeloForth relies on location fixes, timestamps, altitude, speed, and other information made available by Android and the phone. A reported location includes an estimated accuracy rather than a guarantee of the device’s exact position. Individual readings can drift, arrive late, repeat, or be unavailable.
Two devices or apps can process different samples, map data, timing, and filtering rules. Their distance, speed, elevation, ascent, or route shape may therefore differ for the same ride.
Recorded data may be affected by factors including:
Map, routing, and weather information supplied by external services can also be incomplete, delayed, or different from current real-world conditions.
VeloForth calculates summaries and insights from recorded data and information you provide. If the underlying route, timing, or elevation samples are inaccurate or incomplete, derived values such as averages, ascent, descent, classifications, records, trends, progress, and comparisons may also be inaccurate.
Coaching and insight features provide general cycling context based on the data available in the app. They are not medical advice, a diagnosis, a professional training assessment, or an official performance result.
Values that you enter from another device or app are stored as manually entered summaries. VeloForth does not independently verify their accuracy. Any analysis that uses those values can only be as reliable as the information entered and the original source that produced it.
Do not rely on VeloForth as the sole source for emergency, medical, legal, safety-critical, competitive, or official measurement decisions. Follow applicable laws, road signs, closures, access restrictions, and current conditions. Stay aware of your surroundings and use your own judgement before and during every ride.
Where a value matters for health, safety, competition, insurance, or another formal purpose, confirm it through an appropriate specialist, authority, calibrated device, or official source. Nothing in this disclaimer excludes rights or responsibilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
If a recording looks wrong, first review the phone’s location permission, battery settings, and placement. For a question about this disclaimer or a repeatable recording issue, use the public developer contact method shown on VeloForth’s Google Play store listing. Avoid sending a full ride track unless it is necessary to investigate the issue.
